If we consider the word "Control", then definitely "YES" as it is redefined from "monitoring results" to "making things happen" in LEAN.  And once it (making things happen) becomes mantra in your organisation, you are really not worried about...

Nokia begins smartphone fightback with new handsets. Finnish phone giant Nokia has vowed to fight back as it battles for customers in the increasingly competitive SmartPhone market. The company unveiled three new smartphones - E7, C7 and an updated C6 - at London's Nokia World conference. Nokia is still the largest maker of smartphones but is facing stiff competition from the likes of Apple, Google and Blackberry maker RIM. The firm's Niklas Savander admitted the firm had been losing out to rivals. That is about to change. Today we shift into high gear in Nokia's fightback to smartphone leadership, he said. According to research firm Comscore, Nokia's market share has fallen more than 14% si...

Long before it was made open source, the SYMBIAN platform (Nokia Smartphone OS) had a well earned reputation for being hard to program. Qt finally addresses this need which is going to do the same or more to the MeeGo platform that java did to...

You know how in monster movies, the lumbering creature always manages to outrun the frantically running victim? That seems to be Microsoft's hope in competing with Apple: Despite a late start and slow development, it will crush the iPhone out of sheer size. Microsoft's creature of choice is Windows Phone 7, available on devices from Samsung, LG, and HTC. In a twist on the monster metaphor, the competition is not between beauty and beast. Windows Phone 7 has a very elegant user interface that is nearly as beautiful and intuitive as what Apple produces. The competition is really between capabilities, of which the iPhone has many and Windows Phone 7 has fewer. For example, Windows Phone 7 does...

Certainly, MeeGo will be covering Handset, Netbooks, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) type of devices. Not only this, its going to work on Intel and ARM platforms...Windows Phone 7 is somewhere no where in this race...

First come first serve is not what will decide the fight back...Yes it's a fight back kind of thing but they are launching themselves in a altogether different fashion...they are coming with flavours for handhelds, notebooks/tabs , in-vehicle...

First come first serve. Thats the rule-of-thumb in this generation of tech-driven innovation. Where Google scored was its early  entry into the market. Android was established at a time Symbian was dying a slow and painful death.   So Meego has...

Surely MeeGo is the other player in 2011. It will be a natural progression from Symbian to MeeGo for most of the Nokia development community. As far as iPhones are concerned they are far more stylish than anything else...they have their own user...

Open source hardware in conjunction with open source software seems to be the next big thing in the smart phone industry. Most of us understand open source software, but what about hardware. How is it open?Open source hardware is part of the  open source culture  and applies a like concept to a variety of components. The term usually means that  information  about the hardware is easily discerned. Hardware design ( i.e. schematics ,  bill of materials  and  PCB  layout data) in addition to the software that  drives  the hardware are all released. Now-a-days, instead of sharing the schematics, HDL code (as in  hardware description language ) is shared. One such effort is Aava Mobile founded ...

Yes i do think so. Too much of socialising and talking too much over issues leads to the person where he/she is. As said too much of everything is bad. Social networking is necessary but there should be a limit of it.

Any kind of persistent information serves good officially...as we can refer to them at any point of time (specially in cases of conflict). So, if we start persisting telephonic conversations and have ways to tag them, archive them then nothing like...

It gives them more time to concentrate on the family. Also some women lose motivation once they get married because then their priorities change. Also societal and family fators rein them in.
