The software is a tool which enables its user to configure online the Elevator Controlling Parts, generate its estimate, enter the shipment details etc. The software architecture is based on Configurator. Oracle8i is being used as the database server and JRUN as application server. Responsibility: Worked as Database Designer using Visio (UML) Worked as a business layer programmer Project: Computer Concepts Team Size: 9 Role: Senior Developer Software/Tools: Macromedia Flash, XML. Description: This software was developed for Course Technology, U SA. Computer Concepts has been developed in Macromedia Flash using its ability to read xml at run time. The flash engine was embedded inside a Visual C++ engine, which used to communicate with the exam server. The flash engine would then parse the task xml provided by the visual C++ engine and create the flash components accordingly. The flash components simulated the normal windows components and logged user actions. It is robust E-learning software providing simulations which imitates various tasks related to introduction of Mouse and Keyboard, Microsoft Office tools, to Computer Hardware. Talent varies, commitment varies and people definitely are different. I usually can live with all that. What we should all be careful about are people who either dont do what they prescribe or plainly do the right opposite. |
If you love your work, you can never be bad at it. Though it sounds simple, I am always amazed at how many people I meet who think they are stuck in the wrong job. So keep looking. Be foolish enough to love your job. It pays and pays well. |
