Summary Project managers are often their own worst enemies and say things to avoid conflict and make people happy that to lead disaster. Here are few of the classics. 1.I understand this is prioroty #1.Sure we can start immediately, plan as we go and finsih by october 1st. 2.Gee, everybody was happy with the project plan, they approved it in 3 minutes. 3.I've scheduled every detail. The plan weighs a ton! 4. No, you are wrong, that was never part of the scope! It's clearly a scope expansion. Please read the complete article in the below mentioned link--------

Using a Scheduling Package / Scheduling software for scheduling is same as Managing the Project - This is a common misconception. Scheduling Packages A. Cant determine the best no. of the people to assign to activity to yield best results. B. Cant determine the skill level of resources needed to perform activities. C. Cant Help team synergy, morale or Quality D. Cant Determine Resources Interaction ie, which resources will gel / work well toge...

Another typical one way vision of HR. Most HR heads act as if man power acquisition is a one way affair where all rules and standards apply only to the job seekers. They look for super humans in every manager who can match HR’s quality parameters....
