Women professionals are moving up in the corporate ranks, encouraged by the flexible working hours they are getting from their employers, a survey found. Due to flexi working hours, childcare facilities at offices and options of working from home, women professionals are moving up corporate ranks and managing home as well with aplomb. Comfortable shifts allow mothers to take care of kids and give them an option to spend more time with their family, Mothers working full-time give themselves slightly 'lower ratings' as parents than do at-home mothers or mothers employed part-time. There is a class whihc still feels why should women work? But its time when majority to rise up and ask why shoul...

Pakistan's obsession with India that makes it look at its neighbour as an 'existential threat' is a mistake and it would do well to shed this contest mentality, U.S. President Barack Obama has said. He said the U.S. wants Pakistan to realise that the biggest threat to it does not come from outside but is 'homegrown'. He said: 'They see that as their existential threat. I think that's a mistake. I think that peace between India and Pakistan would serve Pakistan very well'. He said Pakistan needs to do shed its orientation of looking at every issue through the India lens to be able to make full economic progress. Is it a matter of US anyways? Why is that US comes in between every nation , giv...

A profit generating business with a social cause is called Social Entrepreneurship. The concept is simple and if applied it can be profitable to you as well as the needy. Examples : 1. There are 51 ambulances running in Maharashtra where if you call the ambulance rich have to pay for it and poor get the service for free. 2. A courier service run by deaf .. thus gives them employment a does profit as well. There can be many other similar things.. We just need to be thoughtful and decide how we want to help ourself along with the society. What is your take on it??
Vijay Kaliappan  |  Commented  |  1 year ago
