I a country like ours where there is heavy subsidy on fuel and where people do not pay their taxes and where there are hardly any oil reserves, fuel will be costlier and depend on international pricing.

This is a critical issue. Actually petrol in singapore and pakistan are much cheaper than that in India. Only the big companies are making profits....
