The first cut-off for BCom (H) at the Shri Ram College of Commerce released on Tuesday reached an unbelievable 100% for the non-commerce aspirants. On one hand they want to simlify the admission process and on the other hand such things are coming up. How can this be fair?

100% marks suggest that he/she is perfect which is believable for a gifted few but not for the masses. You see masses of students scoring 100% in theoretical and practical papers alike which is hypothetical and hence ridiculous and atrocious. 100% cut-offs only degrades the educational system and in my opinion suggests 4 issues here:
1. Limited seats for unlimited many
2. Wrongly evaluated exam papers leading 100% marks
3. Marking system not defined properly as even theoretical papers currently attracts 100% marks
4. Evaluation system not focussed on practical problems rather theoretical and based on past papers
Here were few, probably you can add the rest!
Any initiative with out a proper plan is a disaster, government is not bothered about the people who are passed out in such a huge numbers (Masses) and introduction of of 100 % cuttoff system is a Disaster , I personally feel,
its a mockery of our edu system, Teachers would be paid more outside thatn schools, our legal system needs to be strong enough to prevent Copying and paper leaking offences in fast track
Everyone is confused, no one knows where our education system is heading towards, one of the college in delhi announced 100% marks for admission, What governemnt really wants
Or we all should assume that All social think tank is Dead by now, and media would only cover lawless ness of this land by Raja- Baja, kalmadi, pawar, Koda, etc
Our next generation is in threat now and I wonder if governemnt is announcing such schemes to make rich happy
I completely agree with Mr. Kaliamoorthy that there is need for more colleges but with same infrastructure and education facility. Otherwise the action taken by college admin will leads to discouragement for all students who want to get good education but not able to get admission just due to 100% cut-off.
Obviously it claims that Education is a Business in these College. Mere marks are considered for admission and award of degree may turn into dismal administration.
How it is possible to have 100% marks cut-off. Every one got to be puzzled. But the college admin. will, always, have a polite answer to say that it is our policy guidelines.
As HRD minister pointed out, there needs to be more college with equal infrastructures to bid competition & enables others to this stream with equal opportunities.
Thanks for referral Ms. Sheetal. This was happened every year that the colleges earn more money from students. Now its displayed very clearly. 100% cutoff is not possible. Even there is a possibility to score 100% cutoff in future what about the prevailed candidates. Government should do something in this issue.
