Can anybody tell me where i can find those informations.Could you please give me the links also which you come across some where else.
I also need to know about origin and structure of Indian IT companies.
Please guide me with that.
Dear Arun
I dont have any specific link where You can find all the relevent information of your choice. But what I have a feeling for getting funded about trhe source of IT companies are :
1. Most of the companies are the subsidaries of already established companies which are working in some other domain earliers. the example is Birla Soft, TCS etc. Initially their parents companies will fund them for setting up of tgheir operation. or their MD/Chairmen invest their own funds in colleboration of some other investor/company.
2. Small companies are also geeting funded from virtual capitalists who fund them against the order they received from some company.
3. They can also raise fund thriugh IPOs
4. They can also comes up as a co-operative body where the many small investors invested a part of their funds and established the company.
5. Their are govt grants also available.
Sir, its good topic to deal with. To be rank, all our recent growth is attributable to this IT sector. The origin of this IT companies is of very recent and its all came with the technological advancement and the advancement in R & D.
I would like to tell you one thing that there is no seperate route for IT companies to raise money and the routes are common to all the comapnies barring the fact that the comapnies in som sectors may get incentives or tax incentives from goverment.
A company can raise its capital:
a. From the banks and financial inistitutions.
b. From the public as shares and debentures.
c. Funds can be raised from other comapanies and entities with an understanding like joint ventures.
d. Though IPO's and further issue of shares, debentures etc.
e. From foreign investors or inistitutional investors subject such regulations and limits.
f. as an aid from the government in exceptional cases.
With regards the availability of material, I think many books are written on the recent IT boom in india and the sector as a whole. Further, you can refer to the statistics availlable with the government. And, you can also refer to the official websites of industrial bodies. I would say that you can very easiy get all the needed material, but, before that you must be conceptually clear about all the aspects.
Wish you all the best.
