Union Human Resource Minister Kapil Sibal said that India and the United States are going to set up a joint education council to enhance bilateral ties. There will have representations of industries as well as leaders in the field of education. So that industry and education should come together for the bilateral relationship to move forward. There is a lot of private sector industry and the university system in the United States, which is very, keen on collaborating with India. There are also lots of people in India, in the industry as well as in the private sector which are keen on collaborating with the United States. This will bring the industries and the education sector together.
An Indian delegation will leave for the US very soon. The delegation will comprise industry leaders and university people, where they will visit a number of institutions, including Harvard University and George Washington University.The delegates will also meet policy makers, academicians, Congressmen and Senators in this regard.
