ARE WE OVERWORKING OURSELVES ???????

Are we overworking ourselves . We are in the era where we have to work , work not only to feed ourselves and our family , but also the very next generation of ourselves. Defenders say that we are overworked , exhausted by the cut throat competition , operating like machines 24 hrs. a day.

But is this enough. We expect more from our generation . So many oppurtunities await us to be explored . With the click of a mouse on a computer or swipe of a finger on an iPhone, one can find the weather, stock reports, YouTube, and iTunes. Despite so many things offered to us , our generation refuses to sit back and miss the things thrown at us. We are stressed and exhausted, but we are working, learning, and exploring the many things offered to us .Without the time to work on each homework problem, read each chapter, and check email, doing a little of each is our only option. OVERWORKING , NO , I WOULD RATHER SAY MULTITASKING. We have the resources to expand our world far beyond what we could 20 to 30 years ago .

Twenty years ago the opportunities that technology offered were nearly non-existent. Computers have advanced from the size of a small room to a small device that fits in your pocket containing a cell phone, iPod, calendar. New inventions were made in the past and people latched onto them and explored them. Our generation lives for the present and for future possibilities. Watching television shows, checking the weather, reading the news, and downloading music on the computer are all simple and fast. We know more because we have more resources. WE HAVE MORE RESOURCES BECAUSE WE WORK .

AND STILL WE SAY THAT WE ARE OVERWORKING OURSELVES.

Our world will continue evolving, forming new exciting forms of communication and making us busier. We will never be able to go back to how it was twenty years ago when a television was a big deal.

Computers will continue to get smaller, faster, cheaper, and easier. Instead Of criticizing ourselves for overworking, we need to find ways to cope with the stress and confusion better.

The Great Isaac Newton said I seem to have been only like a boy, playing on the seashore and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or prettier seashell than ordinary, while the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.

AND IF WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK TO UNVIEL THAT SEA , HOW CAN WE COMPLAIN OF OVERWORKING OURSELVES.
