Can anyone say the difference between project management consultancy and construction manegement consultancy

The difference between PMC and CMC lies in its application.The PMC is limited to DPR or monitoring execution as per DPR.The CMC provides sources for each activities who can execute the works as per specification and as per schedule.

There's indeed a difference between project management and construction management consultancy.

The confusion around these occur due to the fact that many organizations providing CM Consultancy also act as  PMC on many occasions.

CM consulting is an application area consulting.Just like we have Engineering & Process Consultancies

PM consultancy uses the services of these application area consultants in delivering the final product-building,plant or facility.

To give u an example:

Suppose the PMC is told by the owner that they would like the construction completed 4 weeks before the stipulated end date.

The PMC, to explore the possibilities would/could consult the CM or/and Engineering consultants on ways to expedite the same.

 Project management can  be construction management but not limited to that but it involves the very early stage of a construction project even before the construction starts it controls all design and financial aspects.
