Hi Kriti,
true, the policies you mentioed are in practice; almost all the big companies and TNC's apply some of these poliicies if not , how much these are successful in curbing attrition?
To clarify - there is a system of performance linked bonus in many companies, but how it will work if the employees start playing a rat-race to among themselves in order to achieve the bonus and management of the concerned dept encourages it? I think this will result in lossing a couple of talented employees at the year end!
I find Mr. Mr. Ajay Ziz's comment notable - in a word it all depends on office environment. No policy/rule is of much of help if the environment in terms of official relationship in polluted in a company. Being a non- management person, I do not know the scope of HR's activities in relationship management.

I think today Hr practices are helping companies to retain employees. Many companies are working on their policies which makes employees to retain in the company. Some of them are performance linked bonuses, 360-Degree performance management feedback system, reward ceremonies & delight employees with the unexpected. Thanks.....
