Can we stop Global warming?

Yes we can,

1. By going towards green infrastructure, i.e. building homes and offices in such a manner that there is maximum sunlight in the day, resulting into no use of tubelights.

2.By planting more and more trees and not destroying them.

3.Educating the students about the problems as they will be in a tough time then we are into.

4.Investing in the renewable sources of energy, for instance Tidal Energy, Wind Energy, etc.

or have refirigators which would have less ice creating in the refrigators.

dump the old style refrigators which create a lot of ice inside which is hardly put to use.and is causing melting of ice at the noth and south poles thru.

having frost free rerigators would help in a great way.

each house hold geting together to do this would help in a big way.

if we could stop the spread of ice thru various refregating equipment that we are using we could stop th eglobal warming.because at any given time the ice per head would be the same.be it at th enorth pole or south pole or in our freezers.

by single step of reducing the refigators all over the world we could help reduce global warming and melting of ice at south pole and north pole.

The green house gas emissions of CFCs from ACs and fridges, CO2 emissions from automobiles. and industries should be effectively dealth with. It is said ACs abd friedge dont have CFCs. We should also use green vehicles which do not use petroleum products. Bio-fuel-driven and other alternative fuel with zero emission of greenhouse  gases should increase phasing out the petroleum driven vehicles. Tree planting should be taken up on a massive scale to absorb the excess co2 from the atmosphere.Awareness on this should spread. Stoppage of  global warming is possible if citizens, socities, countries all unite in the seemingly uphill task.

Well Rohit, you described in a very good manner but if you just think on educating kid implementing all points in our fast moving life...don't you think its really a tough job .....I agree with Ashwini that if we can not stop then only possibility to prolong....How we will do it ? that is again a big question mark for all of us those who think that we should atleast try to save our Earth....I req you all think littlebit more and come out with decent idea....all you can do it I know that....

Yes Gambhir, if not stop we can prolong it by simple means which are really in our hand, First A/C's and refrigerators which these days not running on CFC gases it at all we have one immediately replace them, mobile charging, you can charge your mobile fora short period not like leave it on charger whole night. Car pull and running cars on eco friendly fuel, use it whenever required and lastly conserve greenery plant trees which grow bigger and be alert citizer agains tree killers. I think with these measures we can control global warming. I won't ask you to protest against polluting industries as it is beyond our control and only govt. authorities can do some thing about it.
