Many famous shoe companies such as reebok,nike etc are manufacturing sport shoes of different type some of them are walking,jogging,racing shoes etc .Are these made for different purpose or to earn money by selling more and more shoes instead of one,cant they make one for allpurpose?
Well to me
Jogging shoe is worn in foot
Walking shoes are tied with laces
and racing shoes have sole

I am sorry no idea about this..
I think it has to do with the thickness of the sole of these shoes. Walking shoes are flat with soles that would enhance the walking action with minimum friction. Jogging shoes have thicker soles for brisk action that would enhance and accept the weight of the jogger on impact with surface giving a sort of pump action to reverse the impact and release the sole from the surface for the jogger to use the jogging technique effectively!! In racing shoes the soles are made of tougher materials for maximum friction and high impact with air ducts and pump action meaning the soles are made of material that would be flexible and yet strong becuase of high impact and brisker action. The air ducts would allow the compressed air to be released and would then allow the runner to use the running technique with better ease!!

Jokes apart, but there has to be a differenc ein these shoes as all the actions requires varying pressures and varying acftions!!
Vivek I thought all shoes have soles and are worn on feet..
Of course there is difference in their quality. These shoes differ in their strength manufactures while keeping in mind the amount of friction they will face. Even Heaviness matters. Sports shoes are the lightest and the strongest follwed by jogging and then walking shoes....
