I think Editors should know what kind of content should be published in the Print medium of communication. It is very difficult for parents to keep Newspapers out of the reach of growing kids. I do not wish my kids to grow up before their time. Not one Journalist questioned the woman that she disgraced the Indian woman , probably her daughter was conceived of one such act therefore she knows for certain ......, . She has questioned our judicial system and dared to call our police officials corrupt, besides call all the maids who serve us as moraless and unethical. I can't function without my maid, and I know for certain in India our maids may be poor but all come from good families and do not indulge in acts like this.

it once again depends on how u r bringing up your children at home.simple classification, conservative or liberal.explaining the meaning of RAPE to a child will be disgusting thing if it is told as it is, instead there are so many other ways to tell and depends on parents.just for these reasons keeping news contents out of reach is not that much correct.let's us not forget there will be good where there is bad and no good will exist without a bad.let it be thing /character/person anything!!

Every content that comes in news caters to a specific target. So why would any kid need to read the news that is not relevent to him/her. And moreover its parents onus to keep the child well informed. Any news tht is the need of the hour is a must. Our parents were shy to discuss so many things with their kids but today everyone knows wht mentality this generation kids have? The question is how systematically we put forward the points to them. Nothing to feel ashamed of any news if the right perspective, the balanced tone & the right message is placed in front of the kids.

I think newspaper  are now  acting like a commercial  commodity. The real meaning of media as social awakening and social development are hardly seen in today's leading newspaper. This is a serious concern in coming generations. I could not read or galnced the Delhi Times in front of my 2 years old son, who will asked so many questions afer seeing those partial nude or  complete  vulgar picturtes of female, How will it shaped the  behaviour of  the children in good way. I agree newspaper content are now need to be censored and we neeed to start giving U, A, U/A  type of rating in newspapers too, Though it sounds like some crazy  mind.

Very simple solution....

Just like we change the television channel if the content is not suitable for children, you can also change the newspaper and no one is stopping you from doing that.

The maximum ADULT content comes in The Times of India (whether it is the photographs in Delhi Times ot the way they present a news) followed by Hindustan Times (HT City).

Go for The Hindu and I assure you you won't get a single content (article, photograph, cartoon, advertisement) which is not appropriate for children.

Yes today the content even in News papers are nothing but more in terms of creating sensationalism, so in this regard there is inappropriate content at times in News papers, but then they have to show what is happening right, they just can't keep in mind about youngsters likes and dislikes, its the News which should be brought into notice of the people, so they can't think whether this would be appropriate for youngsters or not, so just because few incidents are not appropriate for them one can't stop them from publishing it..........
