Is it necessary to handle roles at managerial level or higher first?
According to me that depends on every ones environment. The selected one should have deep knowledge about the area in which he goes for working. He should have gone through required training before going to play a role and he himself must have certain quality like quick decision, quick understanding of situation, good inter person relation development with the people surrounded by him and after all humenity also.
To be a LEADER you have to experience what it is when you are LED! During that process whether the objective / aim was achieved?? If yes, then an indepth study would ensure what planning went into making such a successful event. How did the team behave when told of certain tasks to perform to reach the aim. How was any kind of problem handled suring the process and was the leader receiving everything in the same enthused manner of supporting the cause or not!!
These answers will enable you to analyse the reason for success by the person who was the LEADER. Similarly to note is the fact that you would only climb higher if you have capability of performance that is necessary from you to rise. Also what is essential is the team behavior nd reception to your ideas and concepts. Its not really a one liner, its a complete exercise that I beleive gives a person ALL ROUND experience in all aspects fo being a LEADER!!
Communication is such an important tool here that used effectively it can BOOM like a cannon, use loosely would fall like a DUD!!
Truely agree with Mr. Sandeep.....But these roles can also b played at each and every level a particular person is.....
According to me, to b a "great leader" one has to play a role of atleast a "leader" at the levels he/she has worked so far....Rather than waiting to reach a certain high level, one should have lots of innovative ideas at the level he/she works right now.
it all depends on where you are positioned in organization.one has to get first hand experiance of the job/subordinates/higher ups etc., before moulding themselves into a allocated slots.doing things or executing both has its own merits and demerits and seeks integral capacity.i always feel to do things first rather than to start with getting things done.
According to me yes one needs to handle roles at Managerial level or even more higher just to make sure that he is getting things done under him,,,whether he is communicating in the right manner to get the things done for him...so one needs to reach a certain level to be a great leader...everything comes by practice and if he has a strong base with the managerial role, where one has managed a team under them gives them the confidence to drive things in future...

But I support this side as well if circumstances lead to 300 ppl lose their job..! |
I support as this is the right procedure..! |
No Approach is a barrier, but a booster...! How it is being implemented? is important. In India, Project Management basically stresses out on meeting TAT/SLA hence creating pressure and reducing the chance for innovative ideas to pop-up. It should... |
