Do you think women are better at handling money matters than men?

As an independent woman I am good at earning and spending but to say whether I think women are better at handling money matters than men I would not commit myself. I have seen numerous men also doing shopping, paying their bills, etc. so it is difficult for me to share my thoughts on this one. This would have gone done well as a debate.

this statement was very much good in those days where majority of women were housewives! but scenario has changed completely today, where in we are seeing the attitude of women is becoming almost equal to that of man in all aspects.

'Women' is good is spending... / controlling expenses etc...

But who is better in earning??? in most cases it is 'Men'... So it is difficult to answer who is better in 'Handling' money

Nic article indeed. and yes women can handle more money efficietly. also well sid thathow much amount to save, when to visit home town, which Sofa, air conditioner, refrigerator to buy, monthly expenses, whether to keep a maid or not etc !!..... are better handled by women

NO One Can defeat women in any matter......And this one is just very small thing to manage for women like catching the flies......

Yes ,women are always better than money man in money matter. its not only in house but in office work also women handle better than men. Thy have got the power of better judgement,nice intelligence,diplomacy,politeness and of course handling men too.

Veejay I like the way you have answered this question and also agree with you that women are better at handling above mentioned smaller issues but guys are better at solving bigger issues.

Womens are much better, Let me share my experience of shopping with my wife. She has searched out a cosmatic shop 7 Kms away from my home. We shopped regularly from this shop, we really get 10 to 15 % saving on bulk purchase.

One day she asked me to buy one cosmatic material from the same shop while coming back to home. I argued her, but as usual, she refused. I bought the material and went back to home. During discussion, I told her that I bought this in Rs 70, I got 10% discount------ she smiled, I continued, I spent Rs 40 for car parking and burned out fuel of Rs 60, so the cost is around Rs 170 instead of Rs 77.---- she started shouting.

As usual, I was in the fault.

I don't want to make any further argument that women are much better than men to manage their work and blaming others.

No, According to me, men are the better. Handling money matters means not only saving money for the family or for anything else. That’s what women will do. Whereas, men will view from all corner to handle the money matter to the family. One old saying is there I’ll tell in the works like, Expenditure is depend upon the situation and circumstances, even Rs.100 bugs can be incurred as if it is Rs.1/- and the same Rs.1/- can be saved, as if it is 100 bugs. Its all depend upon the circumstances. This is the way men will handle the money matters. Whereas women always concerned upon savings.
