I believe that it's the luck which keeps the lion's share in a personal interview. This usually happens with those interviewer's who are a little sentimental and get hurt somehow, that's why it is said keep on smiling so that even if interviewer doesn't like you do not give him/her a reason to dislike you in any way.

All this depend over the persons gravity , if a person is short tempered he may be effected with mood and a person who is grace full will not be effected .
