How useful the FRM certification by GARP is in Indian Banking scenario? I see many of us on the Technology side rather than the Functional side. Is that by choice or we just happen to land in there?
Any takes?
The FRM certification, as the globally recognized benchmark professional designation for financial risk managers, clearly differentiates you from your peers, giving you a competitive advantage with colleagues and clients alike. So it is useful. And its reaching India slowly.....
@Anita - Thanks for your comments however that is not what I am aksing about. The question is FRM holders are more seen on the IT side rather than on the Functional side of the domain. Is it because those already on the IT side prefer to appear in a number larger than those who are on the functional side? Or post-facto they get placements only on the IT side? I hope you get a clear idea on what the thought is about this time.

The best part about thinking positive is one can strike a balance in between the decisions to be made practically and think about their impact in a positive way. These two should work in a synergy!!! |
