To ensure foolproof security and prevent any Lahore-like attack on sportsmen during the Commonwealth Games, the Centre has sanctioned nearly Rs 80 crore to Delhi Police to upgrade its inventory and equipment. So guys what do you think Is our govt. awaken now...or is this political statement?
"A total of Rs 78.26 crore has been sanctioned to Delhi Police to procure additional security equipment like X-ray scanners, Door Frame Metal Detectors, Hand Held Metal Detectors, vehicles, communication equipment, specifically for Commonwealth Games 2010"
No offence here.......In my opinion I do not think that it is a political statement...this is not about India itself but we are talking about security for the COMMONWEALTH GAMES where international participants life will be at stake. The government has to show the international world that they are fully equipped to protect the players. Any country in India's position would have done the same.
I totally agree with the sanction and the concern of the govt for international participants
For areas like security you not only need Equipments you need a A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, STRONG MOTIVATION AND APPROPRIATE TRAINING coupled with a POWERFUL TEAMWORK, THESE ALL FACTORS CAN COMBINE TO YOU TO GIVE AN EDGE TO FIGHT AND EMERGE WINNER, otherswise all such Money has NO USE WHATSOEVER.( Parhaps Indian Forces need to take a clue from Isreali forces)
Yes as of now it appears as political gimmick ONLY AND NOTHING ELSE
