We visit banks frequently for depositing or drawing the money. Sometimes we approach them for loans i.e. vehicle loans, housing loans, personal loans. Have you ever encountered rude behaviour from any banker ? If so why ? Is it your fault ?

Being a banker myself  I can say that it depends on the bank staff and also customer. Sometimes the bank staff has a bad day and it is responsible for banker's rude behaviour.... or sometimes the customer is very demanding and unable to understands bank staffs  situation...

Greetings!

Sorry, I haven’t encountered as such situation but I could see this kind of abuses still happening to many people - My humble opinion on this as follows.,

  1. Customers are not well educated on the Banking process and procedure.
  2. Due to high business competition and MNC banking arrival Bankers focusing only on Business and Profit motto.
  3. Due to new economic policy all tiny Industrials are issuing ATM card
  4. Due to lack of necessary awareness or knowledge people are seeking more clarification from the Bankers but the bankers are not in position to guide the people properly instead of they gets irritate on the people.
  5. Many of the Bank especially GOVT Sector Banking employees are thinking – Customers are interrupting their work whereas they forgot “GANDHI Ji” words “Customers are purpose of their work”.

Yes bankers were rude but now the scenario is changing...with many private banks which are out there are giving good customer feedback and are taking care of customers in a really good way....and this has rubbed of to the PSU banks as well and now they are also handling their customers in a better way. But it will be mainly due to a bad day or the customer itself.

Yes.  Many times.  Why?  Different reasons.  His work pressure.  Or me being impatient.  Or my refusal to understand his viewpoint.  Or me asking for something from him which is beyond his control.  Or me expecting too much from him.  Or me wanting him to understand my urgency.  Or me being unreasonable.

Come On, guys.  I myself am a banker and I have been rude to some customers.  Reason - all the above.  We, Bankers, are also human.  Correct?

Oh ..I can say every time I and many other people are encountered the rude behaviour from Banker.

If we ask them about this Only one reply: Sir, There are too many people comes to us and ask silly questions...How we are going to keep patience...???? after all we are also human beings...

Those people are used to talk in same way....For our own money we have to argue with them...

They used to behave rudely some time ago when there are no private banks.  The advent of private banks changed the face of banking altogether.  People are now behaving politely.  When you go to them for loans, I doubt of getting a smiley reception.
