A Human being never gets satisfaction by collecting lots of money, name & fame, highest place in service/business/politics/other things as eat, drink and be marry etc.

I think real satisfaction is achieved lastly by meditation and worship.

As per our great hindu religion, we have 4 stages of life i.e. BALYAVASTHA (CHILDHOOD), YUVAVASTHA (YOUNG AGE), PRODAVASTHA (BETWEEN 40 TO 60) and VRADHHAVASTHA (AFTER 60) and  two stages of responsibilities (ASHRAM) broadly, i.e. Grahastha Ashram (when everybody has to fulfil the expectation of family members) and Vanprastha Ashram (When everybody has to leave behind the family responsibilities because all dependents are now become independent).

At each stage there different cause of satisfaction and happiness / sorrow as well. At what stage, what you want depends on your desire. Everybody has his/her own perception to get the satisfaction. We cannot say only meditation will give you a satisfaction.

Paresh is very right that we have to find out the happiness even in small cause like to see a infant's first walk. Small cause will give you a happiness may be momentarily. Important is that how you convert your circumstances into the favourable conditions, immaterial what you have done to get it; and more important is that you should have a good objective means any of your action will not harm others; so simple.

You are more experienced than us, you must be right, bcoz you have learned through your experience. I agree that meditation is the most effective tool to get satisfaction and everybody should follow it atleast for 10 mins a day.

We need such a good question to realize ourselves. Thanks Dikshit sir.

we human does not know about ourself. what is satisfaction? We should know the satisfaction before knowing the how human can be satisfied. what cause unsatisfaction? The desire to get anything produce unsatisfaction. when that thing we can not get more unsatisfaction produce. So there are two solution no desire should produce or we should get the thing that we desire. but the second thing is not possible we cant get all the things we want. however we can try to get the things. we can get many things but not all. also it is not possible to stop desire. so what is the solution. it is here. karmanneva adhikarstey maa faleshu kadachana.(Bhagvat Geeta) means try to do the work to the extent you can but dont attach with the result of your work ready for whatever you get. this is the only and only solution however very tough.

Sir very good Ques. Mujhe nahi lagata ki INSHAN kabhi santusht ho payega... Jis din INSHAN santusht ho gaya us din sab kuch tham saa jayega, koi naya chiz nahi hoga, koi nayi baat nahi hogi, hum kuch naya aavishkar nahi kar sakenge.. Agar Dheeru Bhai Ambani apane pehale kaam se santusht ho jaate to wo kabhi Reliance group hi nahi banate.. Aise hi kafi sare examples hai..

Can anybody be satisfied with what one has? If satisfaction comes in ones life his quest will be finished. When you find answer for one , your mind ponders over the next thing , giving you a new perspective to your past query and this chain of never being satisfied goes on.........

temporarily you may be satisfied with meditation or self answering.....but the process of thinking goes on...........

Is there any "Yardstick" for "satisfaction".  The more you get it the more you crave for it.  Its an endless pursuit, and it limited in the realm of physical existence.  We, human beings, have to evolve beyond this level to attain eternal peace.  The best way to evolve is to dwell within to achieve eternal bliss.  "Bhagwat Gita" expounds every detail of it.

Yes this is a topic which i was mulling for quite some time. The only way to keep yourself satisfied is in doing what you like. A look at my thought process did show that. I though a lot about spirituality. Right now may be i am not prepared for it. Making money has Not been satisfying for me what ever so may be the reason is. Then i felt these  are more  of concepts implanted in me like Great Job, Lot of Money, Security e.t.c which all were against my very nature now. I enjoyed listening to a song yesterday, that is when i felt happiness lies in  finding out  your real nature and  exploring them. In  another words doing what you like. Some people like to accumulate wealth, Some to give and share with people.  So find your real nature and stay with it. I found that exercising regularly, socializing, enjoying solitary moments, reading books, self improvement, listening to music, enjoying good food and  helping people in my own way is my  real nature and what i like doing.  So go  find your real nature and don't succumb to the rules laid out by the society.

Satisfaction level of Human beings has no limit. The more one gets, the more he aspires for. This has no end. True satisfaction can only be got by living a simple life. Not with too many expectations and aspirations and being happy with whatever one possess. In this way, one can get both ultimate satisfaction and mental peace.

Looks like life is a business. If you work, you will get satisfaction in return! this is materialistic. But the realistic is... satisfaction is from inside only and not from outside at all... That is why the old indian practices like meditation, breathing exercises that keep the mind cool and the worship would give more satisfaction than anything else.

There is always a misinterpretation by mis-leaders. meditate on your own goal like 'Kaaka chesta baka dhyaanam' you will gets results. You worship beauty and start looking outside.... But ultimately, these misinterprited things, though give results, would not give SATISFATION. Satisfaction can be derived by selfless meditation, breathing exercises to cool and self control and worship would only give ultimate SATISFACTION.
