How can i enhance my skills in .net to step into industrial area . Is certification necessary for this. ?

To enter into a .net it is not neccessary to get the certification. You just do some dummy projects like student management/ Budget system or any of such kind of system. just you have to choose the language or plateform like windows or web(where ever is your interest is). 

If you go to web then you have to learn the what does the web page do...how it works and so on then after you have to do some advance thinks like WCF, ADO.NET Entity framework , Silverlight things...

Hi Anjali, I am totally agreed with all the suggestions here. Firstly try to get some practical knowledge about the projects in .net. And if you are good enough in .net , I will suggest you to go for some certifications. I will surely enhance your knowledge and it will surely update you with the latest .net technology.

Hi Anjali, Certification in not mandatory to enter in the industry, I think you are in TCS so no need to do any certification, fistly learn (C# or VB.net), ASP.net, you can prefer 

if you want to do more in .net so you can go with Web Services, WCF, LINQ, and Share Point, if you learn these things then you will get befinits,

You can do that by start working on some dummy real life projects in .net. Doing a project can really enhance your skills

If you want to work with large organization as a trainee then certification helps, if your entering proprietor organization your skill matter, to enhance your skill you have to plunge yourself into assignments.

If possible get yourself certified and join large enterprise as trainee you will get lot of coaching mentoring recognition for your efforts, a brand name to work for, a good start

Hi Anjali, as you are already done your MCA I dont think you need any more certification to bag a job for yourself, and just to make it clear companies are  not after certificates they are after quality you have so better improve your technical as well your soft skill and let this certification issue go off.

and if you want to improve your programing skill there is only one way, and that is to write more and more programs and learn from your mistakes, just have a look at stackoverflow.com great place for programmers.

Hi anjali, To step into industrial area, certifications are not necessary ya they can help you but not required thing. To enhance your knowledge and skill first of all you should be active on internet professional areas like ask question related to technology and post articles etc. on professional sites and also one important thing that any new thing that you learn from these sites,you should practically implement them.

Hi Anjali, certificates are not mandatory to enter the industry. If your are pretty good in programing then you can appear for any company they will check knowledge and not the certificates. It you want to learn there are many centers which trains candidates as per their interest, you can take that courses as well.
