For about 2.5 yrs I've worked as copywriter but now i want to switch to branding which is thoroughly a marketing job. Without any experience in marketing or branding how hard is this for me to change my profile as I am not willing to compromise over my salary too?
Asking me its a bit difficult to change a job in a different field altogether.....as the experience of yours 2.5 yrs will not count in marketing or the branding job, but your copywriting skills can be helpful to prepare Brand engagement content and other things like that....but if you want to enter something new and you are also not compromising on your salary part then it will become all the more difficult.....but there is no harm in trying as if they feel that you are the right person for the job then Salary doesn't matter much to them...they will consider if you have the right attitude and what it takes to get the job done at the new place......If you ask me its a bit complicated only......
Changing a profile can lead to many problems, but it can also be a good learning experience. Because you will be shifting your interests to different field.
I am a Marketing guy & if I generate interest in Finance. Then I need to look at the basics of it. I have to contact my Finance Friends to learn new things about the current happenings & updates. Read financial books & News papers. Watch out for Stock Markets & Economics.
And the most difficult thing is to get that intellectual strength to change a profile.
And Priyanka Branding is the superb field to opt for. Many marketers & brand managers prefer people from advertising field rather than people having degrees from abroad.
Do write about your views or perceptions..

If you want to shift your work profile you can. And your existing experience will definitely help you in long term with marketing work. Because marketing needs little knowledge of almost every field..
It is purely depends upon your interest in the new field & nothing is difficult in this world, as change is the basic law of environment/situation.
Not so difficult if you are seriously interested.
