I want to know what is the role of Corporate Governance in Decision Making, in what ways it affects decision making ??
Corporate Governanave plays a very vital role in decision making process of the management. CG brings all the actual facts on the same platform and thus decision making becomes faster and effective. This helps in making new & improved systems and putting more stringent checks and controls in the organization so as to avoid the lapses.
Corporate governance is the system by which business corporations are directed and controlled so it affeccts the decision making of any firm directly. Corporate governance sets some moral standards and the firm has to operate within these standards. Improvement in corporate governance practises can improve decision making process within and between company's governing bodies, and should enhance the efficiency of business and financial operations. One of the most important roles of corporate governance is to ensure that strategic decisions are made in the interest of those with a stake in successful outcomes and this role affects the firms decision making to a larger extent. Corporate governance also monitors the investment decisions and capital investment. It is the responsibility of the corporate board to review and understand the financial statements of the company and to guide the prudent investment of funds to maximize net income and returns.
