How do you measure the returns from advertising when not using new media? Let's say one runs an outdoor advertising campaign while also advertising in different magazines and then running a sales promotion in the shops as well. How do you know which one of the advertising activities was worth the money? How precise can you be in measurements?
Top Answer :
The best idea is always feed back forms, where customer has to fill that how he came to know about the adv.
When cust is on shop to buy the product comapny can ask him to fill the feedback forms also from internet buying companies always asks to give a feedback.
Yaa, it is true that you cant say that every customer has fill the right feedback but this somehow you can analyze the % of benifit from media you used.

A combination of the two advertising methodologies would appear to be a good measure. Analyzing website visits is easy, so measuring the visitor numbers over the course of an off-line campaign will indicate it's success or otherwise. It is important not to confuse the issue by running too many campaigns at a time, otherwise the lack of definition will negate the precision o the analysis.
