Liquidity continued to be easy in the month of September also as in previous months. The average Mumbai Inter Bank Offer Rate for the month remained flat at 3.33% in comparison to 3.29% for the previous month. The outstanding amounts lent in reverse repo on 30th September ‘09 was Rs.1214 bln as against Rs.607 bln on 31st August ‘09.Wholesale Price Inflation has now bottomed and is starting to move higher.Consumer price inflation has proved
remarkably stubborn and there is risk of further rises ahead.
