I've been into advertisng agency from past 1.5 years. A month back i joined an event management company and still exploring wat are the responsibilities come under my job profile. Kindly help so that i can develop my skills accordingly.
Firstly i would like to congratulate you for your job,
The copywriters profile in an advertising agency and event management company are very similar but in an advertising agency there is a possibility of a retake in an ad or makeover in some writings or scripts but in an event management the whole and sole responsibility of the complete activity is in the hands of the writer who designs the complete schedule of the activity it may be a mall activity or may be a stage show or it may be any road show, slight difference is the individual person is responsible for everything in event management & and in advertising agency its a team activity.

CREATIVITY required is the same... The Strength of a MESSAGE in an Ad. & that in a Direct Marketing Acivity remains the same.
A Copywriter's skills are tested to the Maximum in both fields of operation... I have been with an INS Accredited Advertising Agency & an Event Management Company AT THE SAME TIME ( same group owned them ) & I was the CREATIVE DIRECTOR of both...
Be it a Road Show, or a Mall Activity or a Newspaper advt., or an Ad. film... the basic Product message dosent change, maybe some Creative Speeches for an MC in a Live Event or stuff like that might differ... But the Creativity needed is the same.
Go ahead & do ur job with conviction ! ( I do not wish to be critical, BUT... Good Grammer & Excellent Language Command is a MUST... U take care of that ).
Priyanka ideally you would be putting pen to paper for the MC of a show or event. You would also be writing for the media in termas of what the event was or would be. You would be the one to lend credibility to these events in terms of what is to be spoken, You would hear what you have written being said by Presenters on shows.
