Is it really necessary to purify viral samples before adding to any cell culture system? or having monk sample is sufficient to convince people effect observed.

Hi sarang, I will strongly recommend you to use purified virus in cell culture system because that will give you the certainty that the CPE that you are observing after addition of sample is only because of virus and not due to bacterial contamination. Also I will suggest you to use well characterized cell line and typed virus strain.
