Dear friends,
It seems that an unsuccessful attempt at raising the number of its third-generation (3G) service subscribers to one lakh within two months may lead to BSNL following the footsteps of its public sector sibling MTNL and inviting international players to run these next-gen services for 10 years on a revenue-sharing basis.

But, private operators are also getting ready to launch their 3G services next year following the expected auction of 3G spectrum by December this year, MTNL and BSNL now want to make the most of their first-mover advantage.

I want to know from you guys, according to you, how successful BSNL will be in implication of 3G services and what things it should take care of ?

They have the consumer base. They also have trust ... they also have a base of consumers who would throttle them. I think its time they really poached experts and paid them the necessary moolah. THe least they should do is to be technically correct and better (far better) in customer service. Its this proactivity with the situation at hand that they need to deal with. IF they can get the man power, I think half their battle is won!! Thats my feeling strictly. I am no gugru in this field but from what I have understoof this is my first impression! Thanks for the referral Sonal!

Absolutely right Makarand, as you said they have the base and ace on their side. Only thing that they should be able to provide the best services unlike telephone services. Or what ever my dear friend Vivek said will be proved. ( Vivek just kidding....but 99% you are right)

Well BSNL can be much better and sucessful in their attempt of implementing 3G services.
to get on the top they need to "RISK IT TO GET THE BISCUITS"
to my knowledge it will also depend with whose system they are going to implement

I think as Mr. Bhave has mentioned that BSNL has more customer base and trust, so they can gain from that !!

I don't know much about there success ratio on 3G, but yes they can do better.
