following are relevant steps in this direction;
1. Introduction of vocational courses inthe School and college level.
2. Industry to invest on traing the people.
3. Construction industry to work with colleges and schools to put for th before the educational institutions their kowlege requirement.
4.Govt , Industry, educational institutions should move hand in hand to bring out required technical manpower from educational institutions.
5. syllabus to be tailor made to equip the youngsters to come out eductional institutions self employable or employable.
skilled workers are not born, skillness have to earn in period of time, put training and workshops at rural level, trained them at their place and as per their interest, after workshops and training utilize their skills. at last remuneration should be lucrative to compete with MNREGA who are offering job at their home, so migrants are returning at their place due to that.

All your points are absolutely valid.. as a person working in the const. industry especially in QC, i feel india is far behind in terms of skilled labours, thise who are working on the sites not even aware about basic requirements. Trade oriented training on continuous basis one of the option which I adopted...
