Brand has to  fully or overall satisfy the customer like in terms of aesthetically,  emotionally, supply, prestige & financial way.it must be unique in its own way.WHILE DEVELOPING A NEW BRAND A POINT TO BE CONSIDERED IS when it is placed with its brand name with other different brands in the marketing it must attract the customer attention , it must be catchy, brand packing must pull the customers to buy the product.

Brand value is nothing but how the customers value the brand, which ultimately is how they value the product. The customers' preferences towards brand can be categorised into two domains; functional and emotional. There are customers who prefer only those brands that keeps it's promises. An attractive USP, quality, etc., are the basic factors that makes the customers fall on the brand. Emotional domain is something that the attachment the customer has on a particular brand. In this there is major population of customers who fall under the functional domain. For any company to create a brand value, it is very much important for them to not only create a brand and advertise it, but also think critically about the USP and in a better quality.

we cannot generalise one theory for it but as far as i am concerned, through proper competitor analysis of product until and unless you have something unique to offer as well as if your product is already in the market the through proper advertising and promotions to create a zeal about your product rest will depend on Janta's feedback you will come to know the results but this strategy is just for initial level.

I think for a New Entrant, the Brand value can be maintained only when "When The Philosophy/Product/Service Portrayed and the Philosophy/Product/Service Perceived by the Customer is same"

In order to achieve that, the brand need to take great care in Quality of the Product and after Sales service.

I think it is safe to ignore all competition, that can be taken care of later on, and to focus on developing your core product, service or expertise.
