Dear Friends,

I would  like to  know some great methods  to  get more  clients  for ERP implimentations and other IT services.

Please advice.

Hi Sanjib

It is very interesting question you are asking. To get an ERP implementation of Oracle/SAP/Microsoft and IT Services, your company needs to have a unique differentiors in the IT space, else it will be very difficult to sell the services. Here are few things what I could have done in your place:

1. Understand the strength of the currrent organizastion keeping the ecossytem of ORacle/SAP/Microsft/Sterling Commerce, etc... 

2. Understand the Industry which you like to focus (This is critical for your sucess).

3. Understand which products you like to serve in the given Industry which has been selected in point 2.

4. The points 1,2,3 will to a heat map with stregth and weakness of your organization

5. Develop an IP assest in the given Industry which has white space

6. Develop an Integration adaptors which you can sell

7. Develop a partnership model witht he ERP Product Comapnies

8. TRy to become an Co-Innvovation, Co Development PArtner of the ERP PRoduct Comapanies

9. Have a commited SAles forces to focus on the region which u like to grow

10. Have a commited PRe Sales & Solution Design team in place to close deals, keep track of happening in the Industry/PRoduct/Technology

11. Have a strong Delivery model

12. Have an appetiete for On Demand Services , (SaaS model)

13.Conduct Trade Shows

14. Talk Show over Lunch/Dinner campign

15. Make Forrester/Gartner/AMC analyst to speak about your offerring

16. Conduct Web Demo with good Proof of Concept

17. Create a good colletrals who u can convert the cold call/calling to a proactive discussion

List goes on......

According to me Some of the Trade shows are great way to generate the leads and others like E-mail marketing, and then one can also do by having webinars on ERP and  its advantages on good sites, and i guess this would create required leads for the ERP implementation.
