Hi, I want to start investing in Share market in BSE. So how to start it. I also want to do Intraday. But i am new to this. What type of things i have to study for this? also while investing which are the factors those are affecting on our earning/loss. I want to start from small investment. Also which type of factor affects on price of stock? I studied for a month for this and i saw that some time some stock increases as Sensex increases and other decreases as sensex increases. So as per that what i have to keep in mind while buying stocks.

Contact few brokers and check their terms and condition (preferably in writing) and open a trading and demat account with them.

After we have SEBI regulated Exchanges and dematerialized scripts, these is no safe investment like stocks.

The dealing is totally transparent and your stocks are in safe hands with the depositories, which ensures timely receipt of dividends and bonus shares and dividends. Also the liquidity is high and possibility of rigging or manipulation are minimal particularity in A & B category shares.

Invest in good quality shares, invest in very long term (best the investment for your retirement as most of us will never get any pension), invest periodically, specially when every one suggests not to invest, do not invest more than 5% of your portfolio in one stock and not more than 10% in one sector.

Few companies will vanish, a few may not give any significant returns but a few will multiply many times in 15 to 30 years. You can safely assume 15% compounded growth in stock in a good diversified portfolio in such long term range.

I seriously want you against intra-day and short term trading as you are most likely to loose money sooner or later as only god knows where will the market go in short run.

You need 2 things mainly to trade online. A demat account where the shares are stored in the dematerialized format and a trading account with one of the brokers. Apart from this it is preferable to have a bank account which allows you to transact online as you would be required to transfer amount to your trading account when you need to trade.

Find a good trader who gives you good rates, who is reliable and can provide you with reliable suggestions.

Regarding the factors affecting the price of a stock, there are lots of things which can affect the price of the stock and it is difficult to make a list of things which would have an effect on the price. But things like the profit of the company, their corporate set up, the market view of the industry in which the company is etc. But in the end it all matters on what the market feels or what the market sentiment is regarding the industry and the segment.

And as already mentioned earlier by Manish, be very careful will doing an intraday trade. You would need to be following the market and the stock closely to find out which way the stock might move and then once u take an intraday position, monitor it closely so that you can square off at the proper time.

I Swear... this is for you to start to trade in equities by yourself. Basically, you need to open an account for trading in equities with any of the available brokers/Depository participants, ie., a Demat account and a trading account. Only after this one can start trading. However, i feel as u have no much clue how to trade you need to forgot about intraday trading as it requires more knowledge before getting into that level. For you its advisable to start with delivery trading. .. Also alternate way to invest in share market is to invest in Mutual Funds.....Thank you, Manish N.

Cheers!!
