I would like to know the best possible ways for storing bags of cement as it easily absorbs water and also moisture from the air.
You have a proper store for the storage of Cement. Its plinth shold be about 450mm above from the NGL. The cement bags are placed on the wooden planks 200mm above the plinth. The store should be air tight and there will be 1 or 2 small openings. A space of 300mm shold be left all arond the stack of cement and store wall. the stackmof cement should be coverd with Polythene.
Cement bags should be stacked closely together on pallets to reduce air circulation and to raise the cement above any moisture sources; When removing bags for use, do it on a "first in, first out" system. This means stacking bags separately as they arrive, with date of arrival placards attached to each pile. When taken out to use, all you need to do is to roll these bags over.
Hi Venkatesh
You should store bags at site on a dry, wooden platform, raised about 15 cms from ground level. Keep the stocks to a minimum – preferably just the quantity of bags required for day’s consumption. Cover the stored bags with tarpaulin or polythene sheets. Such temporary storage at site should be avoided during monsoon.....

I agree with you anant. It is the best method... |
I agree with Mr.mohammad and I think there is no such empirical formula so you can spend a reasonable amount on site investigation.... |
