It is in our national interest to make the most out of that opportunity and achieve economic independence and fulfilment for all our citizens—doing that would automatically address the other challenges that we have. But it is Indian society that keep the wheels turning whatever is the political structure of the state.
In my opinion, anything that we can do to make India stronger, more equitable, more secure, more fair and which can truly leverage the extraordinary opportunity—that would be the India's national interest. But the definition of Indian society is amorphous and is prone to multiple interpretations.
I certainly agree that you have a greater maturity level than I do Mr.Ziz and I fully respect that but may be next time when you intend to make such comments that are of such high maturity levels, please do make sure that you let us 20 year olds understand what you are trying to say especially when you intend to address us in person(communication gap you see) .Afterall we are here to learn from experienced professional people like you.Thank you for the clarification; its nice to know the different views that people have when a question like India's national interest is asked and the interesting analogies that are made. Thanks for the encouragement,I hope this time I have taken your comments the way you intended to portray them.
don't panic , and perceive what i never intended..
the point was liberty to roam around in the remote tribal areas without fear ..( maoris are tribal people of new zealand)
p.s :: in conversation , we are mature past 40 , we are not students like ...you ... don,t think like a 20 year old while reading our old people comments..okay..do you need further reassurance..
Mr Ziz,I am not clear of what you are trying to imply when you say 'freak out with maories in New zealand scottfree".I donot see the relevance of this phrase in this context. If only you could elaborate on what you are trying to say it would be nice and avoid further misunderstandings.I am sorry to say but this phrase sounds really derogatory and I would sure like to know the reason behind using it and addressing it to me.
India's national interest should be sustainable equitable growth among all stakesholders of the democracy through socio-economical & political acts. The foundation to achieve such target (which may appear wishful thinking) is to ensure education for all. Education is a powerful medium that only can eradicate poverty, injustice & disparity fromour nation.
If I were to lay out India's national interest it would be to utilise every positive oppurtunity of the present and enter in to the future by creating sustainable oppurtunities for its citizens. At the same time its interest should also be to follow the guidelines of its culture and heritage and imparting them into its future generations to develop continuing visions and missions for a sustainable, developed India. Its time and it is definitely showing that India is soon coming into the list of developed nations and is no more going to be just a developing nation.I think this position also comes with a greater and wider set of responsibiltiies towards the world as a whole and India's interest should be in maintaning this position(i.e;when it reaches it).
