With Bollywood crossing the shores into Hollywood and vice versa... What with Sylvester Stallons in a Sajid Nadiiadwala film, Barbara Mori in Kites with Hrithik... Well we are certainly happening! Madame Tussad's has also opened her doors for AB, Ash, SRK and Sachin Tendulkar etc. What according to you would be a good bolly / holly film? Marigold was finished at the BO, Namesake was okay...so??
Successful Bolly/Holly film need to have a good script in the first place. Actors of Hollywood need to be given a suitable role which would make the people think that what has happened in the film is reality. They should not be made to speak in Hindi unless the script demands. If they are made to do so they would look fake. The Bollywood actors should also be given suitable role which would not make them speak in Hindi to hollywood actors, but in English which would justify their character.
Marigold was a huge disaster for a REAL Bolly Holly film!
What is a Bolly Holly film? Is it a film that has actors from across the border? OR Is it a film that is scripted in India and US? OR is it a film that has a mix of Indian culture and US culture and a story that develops from it?
We have KITES from Rakesh Roshan with the hot Barbara Mori and Hrithik Roshan. Is that a true Bolly Holly film? The Burning Train had Hollywood action experts who helped film an adventure. Was that a bolly hollly film? It was a disaster too! Swami Dada by Dev Anand was in fact one of the most early film where he had a US actress in his film! That was a disaster too!!
Any ideas people??
