Rajesh,

There is no dearth of opportunities for good guys.So programming or networking can give you equally good opportunities if you excel. If you can identify your aptitude through your teachers/parents/councellors,you can choose an appropriate course.Otherwise choose the subject you enjoy most and you will definitely be good at it.

All the best

Dude i m not eligible to answer this. So what ever i write, do cross check it before implementing. My personal opinion is that programming side has better returns than networking side for a fresher. I am saying this on the basis of the placement of my senior batches and their salary/career increment in these respective fields.

In programming field, Java, .net, Mainframe etc. are pretty popular. You have to be a master of only one platform initially to get a good job.

In networking field do CCNA, MCSE, etc. & then go for higher certifications. Here you have to constantly give exams and get various certificates to increment your career.

cheers !!!
