I hav a question!!

The thing is i am writing a novel in kannada abt a old classical dancer returnd to india after 30 yrs(its been 30 yrs after british ppl left india) and she finds the place of her old dance school in some forest area with halfly destroyed things! somewhere near chikmagalur forest areas n at that time when she visit that school she comes to knw that the govt is gonna take up a power project closer to that place wher her school was..and at that time(in the era of pre independence) that school was in her name and nw she dont want to give it to govt as that project completely affects that school n place around it and she wants to re-establish one school of classical art forms..so that she contacts a lawyer --- this is the story line

so regarding this case could you please tell me about wat adverse effects will be on ppl in villeges who stays near to the supposed to be power project and how ppl can protest and wat r the provisions in law??
