How do i go about coding goods sold in a retail shop. What application software do I need?

Issac, coding is based on EAN system. There are 12 or 13 digits. each digit representing a typical data type. Like the country, region, the product category, the year, manufacturer etc. You can search the web for EAN system and there on get the coding done by payment of their fees. Once you get the EAN nos. You can get the stickers printed like barcodes and then sell the products to stores.

Basically it will be difficult to give code, in retail their something called category management, a category management tell you how to distinguish the category, like in FMCG Food, there will be four major categories, (Beverages, PreP-food, Ready-Food, Snack Food), FMCG Non Food (health & beautyr, Skin Care, praper products, toiletries), this is category coding, ( if your asking about operation i.e. front end coding, u need to have a store layout, based on the layout and categories you have to give the coding, if you required more information, mail me asadullams@gamil.com

seperate products based on nature. Oils,Soaps,Foodgrains,Biscuits,chocolates like that.. .. for example ... if you hv 10 verieties of biscuits,.. FO-for food)Brands 2 letters,Taste will be hardly 4-6 types- so numbers can be used... Sunrise milk biscuits ( FOSUN001)
