Very difficult question to answer irrespective of the year you are in.
Personally the best way to prospect for new leads is to expand one's own network. This can be achieved by attending/sponsoring forums and seminars both within and outside the industry like CII forums or Afaqs seminars. While you are at it, if the agency wins a couple of awards, flaunt it right away.
The best way by far is for an agency to be in the news - its all about self PR. Agencies quite often work out fool proof communication or Marcom plans for their clients but forget their own needs. In a competitive world, agencies too need a lot of self PR to help it on its way.
But overall to sum it, the more the agency itself is in the light the more the prospects of acquiring new clients.
