Dear Mr.Rakesh,
Everybody in production is always interested in improving the output and it is not wrong.
But when we aim for improving the output, we should know the exact point of focus. There are several avenues to take you to the desired result.
First chalk out all the possible areas where you can improve. Evaluate theoritically the increase in production by making the respective changes. Do a Pareto for the sequence of changes to be made. You will achieve the best.

There are various stages involved which are taken care of to make systems effective and efficient. The design should be optimised and follow DFMEA. Further good raw material quality ensures continues production and lesser scrap. Latest technology machines & regular maintenance can ensure better output. Proper material and machine planning can ensure continuous production. Continuously identifying the needs of automation in process can ensure better productivity and efficiency. Enhancing a culture of continuous improvement with different inhouse promotional acitivities.
In big industries consider L&t which have the advance technology Production is not only the responsibilty of employee working on the floor I feel that putting the advance CNC machine will not improve the production firts they have to set the target & make the team aware that they have to work with the speed of the machine ( design ,planning, procurement, execution ,dispatch). This target are devided in each group as a stage .every process should be cross check to send the material to other stage.Make the atmospher of enthusiasium & competition between each group in each stage which will help them to boost their production activity & the team will enjoy their work Like IPL matches.Manhrs should be minimise & machiner hours should also be calculated.
thanks
In BIG industries, resposibility of each employee may not be properly defined.Every employee should be resposible for the job he is doing. He should know the cost awareness of the equipment on which he is working. What will be the impact to the company if he is not doing properly to be known to eveerybody.
Employee should be rewarded for the good and innovative job he has done among all.
Suggestion scheme and quality circle are to be implemented .
All these things may give good results
I think in a manufacturing setup more empahasis is on out so you have to ensure that your machines are never stopped and are running on full capacity, for this to happen your PPC department should work well. The accuracy factor should be the best. Again preventive maintainance should also be taken. Minimize changeover times, Ensure only good quality input by having a quality inspection ahead of this station. That way the machine processes only good parts, Look at the engineering design to optimize, See how you can economise on warranty spares..All this and more will help you.
