Some times even without intension, due to a single praise or a simple word from the boss competition is created between employees, is this beneficial for the organization? How can we check that the PROFESSIONAL COMPETITION does not change into PROFESSIONLA RIVELRY?
When employees get too comfortable in their jobs, there is a tendency to coast along without necessarily working at their best level. Having to prove ourself against some tough competition is going to put us on high alert as far as our attitude to work is concerned. Successful individuals are almost always ambitious, determined, and willing to create their own path to the top and the desire to rise above the crowd can actually be a powerful, enriching and motivating force. However, a distinction needs to be drawn between healthy and unhealthy forms of competition. Wholesome healthy competition acts as a spur for all players to focus and improve their performance, benefiting both the individual and the team.
yes it is needed but the competition must be in a healthy manner if it is not in that way then definitely the people will suffer with egos and they did not perform better and unnecessary disputes will be happen and the proper solutions for the problems are not achieved and thus the productivity of the company will be drastically reduced.
todays world represents cut throat compitition, from starting itself we face competition. people are so much used to this that they even compete among there children which have created lots of social problems among them. it is not necessary to creat a competitive environment in work place, to achive better result good work culture and cooperative management is crucial. work place directly influence social life of todays employee, and considering this corporate world should avoid unnecesary compition at work place....
see for the growth of the organisation creating competion should be there bt the employer or the seniors should realize both that it will result in growth of organisation also to become more productive or superior in talent or one will use his/her brain new strategy or idea to generate productivity which help to implement in organisation to grow and employer or senior should make it clear frm time to time to all employee that inspite of rivalary they shud relize the motive of creating competion among employee and can generate team work.
