Sales and BD are mostly talked about in the same breath. Be it for online job portals or popular mindset, Sales and BD are considered in the same line. Its understood both are about increasing the top-line, working at the grass-root level, relationship management. However, isn't BD more about setting processes to optimize pull based demand fulfilment whereas Sales is about creating demand (push) at the point of sale leveraging upon pull based activities of the firm?
