Is crime the new quotient of glamour in Hindi films?
Yes, looks like that. In the name of 'burning topics', the producers pick crime as a topic, Directors expose it as truth, Distributors distribute as hot cake and we see it as a Hindi Film. The serials also follow the same path more or less. So, unknowingly, youth is getting into it, in case it appeals him/her 'too much'. Its just a quotient, not to be called as 'Glamour' as Mr. Makrandji said.
I would not dub it as GLAMOR, but for me it would be the new topic of thrills!! Every crime committed has a gory backdrop, what makes it thrilling and interesting is the way it gets dolved. Its the rush of adrenaline that gets you when people seek clues, investigative patterns set the tempo of a thrill and most of all the "SO CLOSE YET SO FAR " consept always adds the mush needed nail biting finish to it!! :))
