Hi all,

I am of the opinion, genuine democracy is most welcome. But what is followed around the globe is invariably Kleptocracy (thieving) in the name of democracy. The rich (politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen, middlemen, etc. loot the poor in the name of democracy. The democracy presently followed is no longer "of the people, by the people, for the people" as originally said; but instead it is "off the people, bye the people, far the people".

If we want to see genuine democracy the world over, ban currency circulation and introduce a single biometric smart card for every citizen / resident / visitor, linked to a money account and track all transactions from birth to death and make all transactions transparent on the web.

This will eliminate corruption, money laundering, arms and drug trade and terrorism of all kinds; and instead ensure good health, housing, education, skill training, employment, social security, etc. for all. Equality of opportunity can be created right from birth and each one can explore their potentials to the maximum and be rewarded. There will be no get-rich-quick politicians and middlemen. The taxes would be less and citizen benefits would be more. We can create heaven on earth with the right counselling and motivation.

As an Indian , i am proud to be citizen of largest successfully running democracy in the world.

yes there are certain flaws in our democratic process whereby votebank politics become order of the day and as long as corrupt people are holding power democracy cant be true success....curbed only by educating people to choose right candidate.... there should be more n more involvement of young people into Indian politics...Lets not make democracy a puppets at the hands of sum corrupt politicians.

Indian democracy is ideal only on papers, but when the time come to implement that it is not idealistic. The implementaion is not good. In democracy poticians are servent of 'AAM AADMI", but electing poiticians are behaving like king. What is this? I think there is no any system which is sent percent pure in world, then why not implement demcracy properly in our country to make ideal democracy.

Of late i too have been losing faith in our democratic system and wondering whether a chinese based capitalistic communist system would do better for our country ?

Seeing the open looting that the countries politicians are resorting to, doctors killing people rather than saving lives because of their strike, corruption and nepotism etc. makes me wonder whether we are over doing our freedom.

Discipline and honesty in public life seems to be absent and only the corrupt seem to be prospering.

The democracy being practiced is worse than feudal society or colonialism. In a typical feudal society the leader would ensure survival and good health of all workers as he required their services on a continued basis and in a way was dependent for their respective set of activity, knowhow and skills.

In colonial rule you were aware, it is an outsider, who has invaded to take advantage of your resources and that brought forth initiates to forever making efforts to free oneself, and hope for betterment.

Whereas in existing scenario, people from amongst us, entrusted and excessively paid for to take care of nation and its resources began to lord over co-citizen, loot country's resources and take decisions for selfish interests. Safety and security, is at peril, surely, not sustainable form of democracy.

If less than 10 percent people loot away all the belongings leaving the 90 percent  to pay for through successive generations there surely are serious flaws that require immediate attention and correction.

NO democracy is NOT  hampering India's progress, But the way that the Democracy is being conducted IS DE/RE-GRESSING india backwards. Because we have had a CON-(re)Gress RULING/LOOTING india till BHARATH became Bastardic NEHRUVIAN india. In America the Citizens are OUT to get the Judges who made GAY legal to be removed from being judges {Iowa foes of same-sex marriage seek to oust judges who legalized it} ; can we indians think of even impeaching a judge? Because Law is as what the Inhabitants decide to be. If Judge(s) does not follow inhabitants wishes, they MUST be REMOVED as rightly so now. Because MAN CAN Kill, Steal and have GAY relationship DOES not mean a STUPID Judge can legalize Murder, Theft and Gay relationship. Good that AMERICA is really a free Country where such STUPID judges can be removed from OFFICE Unlike STUPID Dictatorial Judicial India

Democracy is not hampering india.Bt sure we have problems. This is because of the hands to whichpower was shifted to/ and surely the indian people ,what is reflected in the top.We as a whole is answerable to all the present situation. We find excuses and jump to conclusions without taking responsibility. The day majority in india including me & yourself see the countries flag above all other flags(party, community) things will start changing.True patriotism how many of us have. And a true indian patriot will never be a danger to other nation, culture, civilization, group.A true indian patriot will be like the group who came one after the other to give us indipendence-definitely they are close to " AVATHARS "Only those-gandhi, nehru, patel , Azad, Kamraj, pazhashi raja, velu thampi ,subash , savarkar,-and these people had taken strength from their respective religions also without any hipocracy (try to list  them ,you will see that india always produced the right persons at the right time ).When you try to understand human beeings one very strange thing we see is the tendency to go hiding/ low profile/ inactive when clamity strikes one after the other this we can see in nations , groups, culture, civilizations etc.And when it is defenseless groups - good leadrer ship like the GURUS, Avathars, and great personalities (true warriors turned to leaders also in some case) Religious leaders also had helped humanity during peril. Now also this is happening. But the ratio is on the odd side.If we look to ancient india we can understand why india is slow, inactive, passive etc today. We are taking a long rest after a long tired show. This is Natures secret to protect her children. And if we  feel India had not done wrong in her past we can expect a real good Thunderous show after the sleep. And if we had been bad with humanity as a whole during our old days we can expect only difficulties.Let us analise the present, future and our actions based on this. How many see bright days ahead. In Democracy it is again Majority.Regards .ashok.

PONDER:-1)computer cant think-always there will be a core leadrer ship in any form of Govt.and so human beeings - unavoidable , no matter how hard we think/ change.

2)Religion-Do we follow our religion without fear and with wisdom.

3)Politics:- We all blame the system ,only solution is to take part,. Do we fell like joining the political stream leaving behind Hipocracy, fear, petty gains, undue monetary gains-we are not prepared to take risk-we find excuses and try to place our ego in pedestals.

So do what ever is possible, bit by bit piece by piece moment to moment to save your nation first, party second, your community next ,and yourself  and family after-Very hard is it -iam a lso realizing the  REALITY only now-regards .ashok.
