I have worked for 2 large FMCG distributors in the UAE for 7 years and have managed multi-national brands such as Nestle, Colgate Palmolove, Kraft, Dabur, Unilever, Godrej, Paras, Reckitt Benckiser, Wipro Consumer, Procter and Gamble, Clorox to name a few. I have been successful in various roles and my last role was a Key Account Manager, Modern Trade.
Its been a little more than 3 months that I have moved back to India, and have been actively seeking an opportunity in the FMCG sector. However, due to my lack of experience working within the Indian market, it has been very hard for me to find a good opportunity. I have also kept my expectation minimal when it comes to remunerations.
During my search, I managed to attract an opportunity through my contacts, but not in my industry of choice (FMCG). The opportunity is in the Automobile industry, with a promising career and financial benefits, the offer seems hard to reject.
My question is, would I be making the right move shifting industries, when I have achieved milestones in the FMCG industry.
Secondly, does the automobile industry offer a promising career and financial growth when compared to FMCG industry?
(Sorry for posting a long question, had to explain in detail, to give you a better understanding).
