Well so many postings about CWG and media....Let one from me....
As an Indian citizen I am also angry and frustrated about the mess related to CWG...But what I believe that media is sensationalizing just for their advantage by writing or showing all these bad news only.. Is there no positive or good news related to this multi crore sports event….Why media is not bringing up all these...
My question is that IS MEDIA SENDING OUT ONLY NEGATIVE NEWS AGAINST COMMON WEALTH GAMES ???????

As a nation we work only under extreme conditions, only where we are forced to do. Though at times it seems that media did go overboard but do you think the last minute actions would have been taken unless all this buzz was created .

A 100% negative publicity is damaging the reputation of the country.
I think in comparison with the Asian Games, there's a lot of bad blood. But because it is badly organised, there's no scope for any positive publicity.
Media cannot create negative views out of no where. If the media is publishing 'total lies' then they should be punished - the organizing committee should file law suits against the media. The OC has the ability to go to court but it is not doing that. This means whatever the media is publishing is almost correct. The media always exagerattes a bit but still all these news about CWG is not negative, they are just facts and truth visible to everybody.
Ya.. its too obvious... Media has been blaming the Organising Committee from the initial stages... the worst part is that still Organising Committee doesnt feel for a change.. afterall Change is for good.

In my opinion the sensational news helps to increase the circulation and attract much more than the truth behind.
Yes, Media is doing only negative publicity, they are not showing CWG positive points. now every thing is ok and players are happy with management. but media is still showing negative side to increase their TRP. so i am requesting media please show positive side to the world and make CWG successful, it is prestige for India.
THE MEDIA IS THERE TO POINT OUT PITFALLS SO THAT CORRECTIVE ACTIONS CAN BE INITIATED. The media is not creating some thing which is not there. They are only bringing to the public view on how things are. Every time politicians goof up, they say misquoted or out of context. May be around 2005, we should think of hosting Olympic games in our country . I am 66 years old and that could be my dream to live longer.

FOR EVERY THING GOVT & MANAGEMENT ARE GUILTY.
BECAUSE THEY GET THIS GAME 06 YEAR BEFORE.
COURT OR PRESIDENT SHOULD TAKE A HARD ACTION AGAINST GOVT & MANAGEMENT.
BUT NOW AT FIRST WE SHOULD GIVE CONTRIBUTION TO GOVT FOR A SUCCESSFUL GAME.

Hope no one is suggesting media should hide facts just because truth is not very palatable. They still appear sending very positive while feed the facts may be starker.
Remaining in denial would not get us anywhere.
