Are companies using recession as an excuse to downsize the staff? I saw that organizations are just reducing the salaries and if we ask for an hike they are avoiding us by saying the name recession. Is they are taking the name of recession intentionly.
There......... You just hit the nail at the right spot. Just because of the hype created of recession, a company, who may not be suffering from financial drought, may also start to reduce the pay of the employees so that they can make more profits. Moreover, the managerial cadre of any company knows how difficult it is get a different job out in the market currently. So the employee has no choice other than working in the same company despite of a salary cut..
The companies tend to leverage this situation to make as much profit as they can. And this is even more prominent in IT service companies. They can have give you all the excuse in this world...
Yes absolutely, it is high time for top executives to wreck vengence on their sub-ordinates. You must also see none of the top executives pay or perks not reduced to overcome the recession in order to survive. (except in a few organizations where real management and managerial skills are considered/looked into). This is my opinion. Recession is prevalent every where in the world.
Yes Selvi Most of the companies are using Recession as an excuse..most of my freinds who were about to get increment were not given...in some places they've even reduced salaries, and this will happen as companies have got a great opportunity to save money from their side...so it is difficult times for sure, but not for long..if they continue the same they will be on the loosing side as the performers from the organization will leave for another where their work is appreciated....
This is a business--and we can talk big about business but after all it's simply business--not an emotional play ground.
We like this or not but these are facts--and such attitudes are not surprizing--If you see humen history.
My words might be very blunt--but why shall we cry foul?--This is a battle ground--here either u win--or I.
We should not cry foul when we lose the battle--That's the attitude.
