Leaders are bound to spell their influences upon their followers in order to achieve positive and healthy results. In addition to existing styles of leadership we have seen a paradigm shift accommodating to the external influence of the dynamic environment. As a part of such influences, meeting demand with enhanced productivity has always been the top aspect in the mind of the leader.

Eventually Storytelling has become the powerful communication tool to market and advertise professionals use to promote the companies’ products or services.

In this context, what is the extent to which you think that story telling can be adopted in a practical scenario? Please comment

Glib of tongue is useful for leadership. In story telling it all depends on where the story leads to?

If stories just are misleading the spell just wears away and leader has to be led .

Effective story telling only will find the results

Obviously, a nice way of product promotion.  He has to draw a line when to stop by noticing the non-verbal cues of the listeners!

Passing message through telling a small story to the employees is a very effective tool for motivating them. This process not only keeps them active and away from "boring work environment" but also helps in understanding the subject matter much betterly. In this way, the relation between the leader and the employees becomes stronger since the employees don't get a "boring boss" any more.

Its a latest development and also good one. Just tell or mail a small story. Every story has got some or the other moral - may be from panchatantra, fables or other .. but not to give a final line. Every person has got his intutions and experiences (for days, months or years) and would like to weigh his experience against the moral of story and mentally give a final line to it. Since the leader has given it, he would surely read it and come out with some or other appreciations or apprehensions. By this way, the leader's image gets deeply rooted in the minds of the team members.

It may be useful in marketing. It will help to develop relationship, improve the communication between team members. occasionally, the leader can use story telling to drive a point to the team. This is widely used by Budhdha and Jesus to teach their diciples. If it used veru frequently, it may have negative effects like reduced productivity etc.
