The world is considering India as the fastest growing economy. The crticism about India's development is that the fruits of the development is confined to a smaller section. A vast population of the country are miles away from the development. Can we consider it as development.

Mr. Purushottam you said it right.  What we are experiencing is just the growth in the economy.  If the country is developed do we require non-sense schemes like National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.  Rural India was detached from this partial development.  Only a smaller section of people are enjoying the fruits.  This cant be termed as Development.

that just reminds me of my economics sir when i said yes.....he clarified its growth not development!!! your growth may reach 9, 10, 11 % but development is inclusive and encompassing, something that has just not happened.

If a minimal percent of people increasingly acquiring bigger share out of the share of huge majority is development in your perception. And if a few glass buildings that are at best hostile equally to nature and its creations is development only then.... dear friends.....

Else, the poor are increasing and as well getting poorer and this can surely not be termed development.
